Described as having a climate similar to the Mediterranean, Santa Barbara is situated on one of the longest sections on the West Coast of the United States. Sitting properly between the steeply-rising Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Santa Barbara's climate is known as the "American Riviera".
